hope
Hope. A word that can be quickly used to identify if a person want to continue trying to succeed, or if they just want to end it all.
Losing hope is painful. It feels like the light has gone out, and it'll never come to life again. The future will start to look more bleak, and it becomes hard to see any positive things in your life. You'll become depressed and wary of any changes in life.
People will notice it if they are your best friend. Or, they will assume you're fine because you're probably gonna say "I'm fine, just feeling a bit under the weather".
I'm not saying that you should announce it to everyone that "Guys, I'm depressed, I lost my life goals, so please help me" and hope everyone will care about you. Truth is, they got too much problem on their own plate. They don't care about you. I mean, beside your parents or your lover obviously.
I'm not gonna talk about "why one can lose hope". Lots of factor is involved.
If you feel you want to end everything (right now), or you just want a quick life hack, well, old tips always work. Take a deep breath.
Our instinct will always lead us to "think about the past where you manage to get up from any obstacle". No. I hate to say this, but, that will only lead you to even more mental breakdown. Why? Well because we can't always compare ourself to our past self. We grow up. We're different than we used to be.
One thing I learn the hard way in my journey is that although you can tell everyone about your struggles, be careful. Some people can quickly judge you. They may not show it in front of you, but, they'll slowly build an image of you. Im not saying that you should always be careful about everything you said, but, take this as a precaution.
Distraction. If you feeling like you lose hope, distraction can be a good way to ignore the feeling for a bit. Although I'll admit, that is not a good way of coping, especially if your method is mindlessly good old scrolling social media.
I've been coping with this method for a while now. Yes, it works. But only when you scroll. Next time you get the feeling of "why I waste my time", you're gonna fell into depression again.
So how do i get hope again? Watch motivational videos. It works for me as a temporary boost to my morale. Or, better, watch that kind of video that made you feel good in humanity. Heck, sometimes I wanna be a superman after watching those kind of content. Everybody can be a superhero in their own way. I believe that.
So, what's the conclusion? Nah, I don't really know. I'm just writing things that I feel it'll be useful for people. You don't have to follow my choice here. I'm no motivator by any chance.
