I stared blankly at the start screen of Minecraft, in my phone. Everything look vaguely the same as before, but, there is something different.

The thing is, there are too many memories on this one. Memories of getting pranked with trap door by your friend. Memories of getting killed trying to get Blaze rod in nether. Memori ketika digepengin sama sand gara2 mau coba nyari flint and steel. Dan lain sebagainya.

Reminiscing of the past memang bukanlah hal yang seharusnya selalu dilakukan, tapi mau bagaimana lagi? Dalam konteks game ini, setiap kali gw mau nyoba bikin dunia Survival baru, pasti pikirannya mau "ges bagi tugas siapa yang nyari kayu siapa yang nyari wol" etc.

Perasaan ambigu ini ditambah lagi dengan feeling bahwa "Minecraft update isn't exciting anymore". Tapi betul sih. Terakhir kali gw aktif main Minecraft, yakni ketika 2021-an, gw udah ga excited dengan update Caves and Cliffs. I mean seriously; Mojang & their employees udah ga sekreatif dulu2 waktu bikin konsep update. Dulu banyak konsep gameplay baru, kayak aquatic update & village update. Now we mostly got shit ton of items with no real value yang bisa digunakan over & over again.

So yeah, despite buying it officially on Play Store, I don't have intention to play the game seriously anymore. Maybe I'll play for 1-2 hours when I'm in the right mood, tapi gw gak akan main MC lagi kedepannya. It's kinda boring now. We've all grown out of it. We had enough of it. Udah waktunya untuk ganti kegiatan.
